SYNOPSIS
Brent Forbes (Paul Walker) is an American Embassy attaché in Budapest. His wife, April is upset by the amount of time Brent spends at work rather than with her and their daughter, Darcy. When word comes from Washington D.C. to ‘clean house’ at the Embassy in response to a series of compromised operations, Brent is pressed into service by his bosses, Jack Coleman (Kevin Costner) and Joseph Nunn. His mission is to help expose a mole within the Embassy. Everything seems to be going according to plan until his daughter accidentally becomes the only witness to Jack’s murder.
Now Brent must protect his family, but the man Darcy saw shoot Jack is so high ranking that Brent fears Embassy corruption at every level. A detail of Foreign Service security officers, headed by Mike Shepard takes Brent and his family to a houseboat safe house, but before long Brent realizes that they are being held as prisoners. When Darcy has a life threatening allergic reaction, Brent attempts to escape and bring back help. He is eventually caught, beaten, sedated, and brought deeper into the conspiracy. One after another, Brent peels back the layers of deception until he realizes that he is a pawn in a larger scheme. Now Brent must race back to his family and save them from the traitors before time runs out.
